Value Proposition

As Republicans We Believe...

That the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights are the foundation for our country and must be applied, not interpreted by our courts, and only amended or added to when the rights of the individual and their beliefs are not compromised.

That the right of the individual to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is supreme.

That truth and justice are fundamental to an enduring social order.

That the Constitution strictly spells out the role of the Federal Government, with all other activities falling to the sovereignty of the Individual or the State.

That the primary purpose of the government is to protect and defend American citizens from enemies, at home and abroad, and that those who serve and have served our country in pursuit of this protection are to be honored and respected.

That government must be reformed and recommitted to execute its role as the servant of the people, and not their master.

That government must drive out waste, corruption, inefficiency, and unnecessary programs from its services.

That the government at all levels must balance its’ budget, and act in a fiscally responsible and accountable manner.

That private business and the dignity of labor and entrepreneurialism are the core and key drivers for economic success and growth of our country. The individual should benefit from the fruits of their labor with limited government intervention or burden.

That equal opportunity should exist, not entitlement. Nothing is owed, it is earned, and every right implies a responsibility, an obligation, and a duty.

That energy independence is vital, but should be pursued first through expanding the use of existing energy sources, and then through new and innovative energy sources.

That while the existence or cause of global climate change is debatable, we should let the individual, the free market, the consumer, and technology advances drive emissions control and resource conservation, not the government.

That the free market and putting patients first should drive medical system reform and lowering of costs, waste, and fraud in that system. We will not put the government in between the individual and his health care provider.

That our vote is sacred, and secret, but implies a responsibility for all who vote to be educated and informed. The sanctity of the vote must be protected by rigorous prosecution and termination of voter fraud.

That the education of our children is vital to American success, and the current system is dysfunctional.  Further incentives for charter schools, home schools, and private solutions are to be encouraged. For public education, no major new governmental investments should be made until the parent, the teacher, the school, the community, and most importantly the student are held accountable for educational performance.

That law was made for man, and not man for the law. That the laws, all the laws, of our country should be rigorously enforced without discrimination. That a presumption of innocence must exist. That penalties and sentences must be enforced and executed.

That safeguarding religious freedoms, strongly supporting family values, and maintaining the sanctity and dignity of life are not to be interfered with by the government.

That foreign policy should be aimed at protecting America, promoting the freedom of individuals around the world, and encouraging free and balanced world trade.

That the individual should render service, time and resources to those truly in need, but how they do so is the individual’s choice.

That America is a country we can be proud of, and that pride must unify all Americans towards the common cause of ensuring the future for the generations of Americans to come.
